I'm sitting here watching a tribute to Michael Jackson. I was a casual fan. I've watched him grow into the super-star that he was. He gave us much over the past 40 years. He changed music and dance (and his appearance). He will never be forgotten.
Farah Fawcett -- Charlies Angles -- wings -- The Burning Bed -- Lee Majors -- huge smile --those are the things that come to mind when I hear her name. Again an actress who seemed to have it all. I know she will be missed by those who were close to her.
Ed Mcmahon, you never knocked on my door with a million dollars, but that's okay. I enjoyed watching him with Johnny Carson. He was the perfect straight man. Then hosting Star Search. He was the perfect host for that show.
It is hard to believe we lost thee icons in one week.

Not sure who 'they' are, but they say that death comes in threes.
I wasn't a big fan of M J...but the world lost an icon for sure. My kids [especially Irene] loved his music. I loved watching him do the moonwalk...nobody could replicate his style.
As for Farrah...being that she was born in Corpus makes her an angel to me!! And a beauty...there will be a shining star in the heavens with her name on it.
Ed ---he was great on Johnny Carson's Late Night Show!!!
How are YOU doing?
While at work yesterday, I had heard that Farah had died. Just as I walked in the door when coming home from work, I got a call from #2 son saying "You know that from now on, your anniversary will be forever known as the day Michael Jackson died?" I didn't - and I was shocked.
Bad day in a bad week.
hello... hapi blogging... have a nice day! just visiting here....
It has been such a tragic week. Michael's music has always been such a large part of my life, and Ed Mcmahon as well when I was a child. This weekend, I also saw Farah's documentary throughout her battle with cancer and I couldn't sleep.
Such tragic losses.
