Photo Hunt --- Sad

The theme for this week is sad. The following picture to me invokes the feeling sad. Rain on the window and a gray sky. This picture was taken while we were in the UK this past summer. It was cool and gray and I was sad. I wanted wanted sunshine and warm.

Hi Patsy!! I know just what you mean...sitting inside watching the rain fall and the gloomy gray sky above is enough for anyone's heart to feel somber and sad! yessirree!!

Great interpretation. And I agree with you on the sad/clown oxymoron too.

Happy Hunting...happy Saturday.

Cure for a rainy, gloomy day in the UK - a visit to the local pub for a couple pints! Well, it works for me when we are in Scotland.
Love the photo!

What? The other 9 days of sun weren't enough for you?!? :D

Was this taken in Limerick? It's a great picture. I don't remember seeing it before.

Great photo.

It snowed yesterday, not enough to stick or stick around, but it was definitely snowing, and the mountains are getting whiter every time I can see them (there are a lot of cloud banks and fog hiding them lately...;( )

But grey skies and drizzle are the halmarks of the great British summer! Actually recent summers have been very hot (by our standards) so you were unlucky in that respect. Happy weekend

That is a really great picture, but how sad that you chose this summer to visit the UK. It must have been the greyest and coldest summer for a very long time. We were there only 6 weeks instead of our usual 8. We just couldn't wait to get back to France.

Great picture. Rainy days always make me sad. (I think there's a song in there somewhere) Oh, and thanks for the reminder. I was heading over to do just that when I read your comment.

That photo is indeed quite somber. A great choice!
