March
A gentle March wind stirs
Softly, gently as the lamb
Hope of spring then summer fills the heart
Too long held hostage in winter’s icy grip
A stronger March wind rises
By the breath of lamb and lion.
Tender buds on trees are tossed to and fro
As the air and soul are warmed
Gusty March winds roar
Loudly, furiously as the lion
Blue skies change to the dusty brown
Plunging the soul into despair
March with ever changing winds
From winter’s cold to summer’s heat
The heart and soul are carried along
Never sure of what will be
I say :: You think
- Resolution :: ending
- Break :: ruin
- Tied :: shoestrings
- Suffering :: pain
- Instead :: option
- Slash :: cut
- Divorce :: remove from
- Cough :: cold
- Happy :: elated
- Sniffle :: cough

Thank you for stopping by Patsy. I miss having extra time to think. I will have to try the memes you do Sometime, you always do them so well. Happy new year.
Lovely poem in response to the topic this week. I love Madeleine L' Engle's books! Methinks we don't have anything in common today for our 'mutterings' ... and that means we're UNIQUE ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
Patsy, I truly love your poems! You should put them in a book form. I bet your children and grandchildren would treasure them. I know I would. You are a very creative writing. I mean that sincerely.
Outstanding piece on 'March'. I love the idea of writing a 100 Word Challenge in poetry.
y'know? I think you're the only one who used 'tied shoestrings' for you answer. I love to read so many different associations, the more different the more complex and wonderful bloggers are!!
Have a great week Patsy.
Your poetry challenge? Wow...it's great.
Great 100 words. Really captures the winds of March!
And your unconscious ramblings cracked me up...started out so serious, then you threw "tied...shoestrings" in there! I don't know why that just tickled me.
yeesh I thought I was going to get something done tonight but now I've got the urge to write at my fingertips. I blame you :D
I'm humbled by the other 100 Word challenge entries. Beautiful poem.
