Day 8 Photo Hunt -- Together

This week's theme is together. I snapped this picture of bashful flamingos at the Fort Worth Zoo in March of 2007. Tho they were all together, they didn't seem very interested in one another. Isn't that how we often are? In the crowd but not really interested in it.

Interesting that the flamingoes in the picture look more orange (like they had been sunburnt!) than pink like one usually thinks that flamingoes are!

How come I'm the only one on the planet without a photo of flamingos somewhere? :-) It just ain't right.

I love this, but then I'm partial, right?

Mine's more, um silly, I guess:

Great shot. Especially like the colour of flamingo's. They all seem to be very busy with themselves. Those necks all appear to be twisted in a different way. LOL

Great shot. They do look like they are mimicing us in terms of their indifference. I love the vivid colours and those twisted necks! Have a great weekend

Very true. The more we find ourselves together, the more adept we are at ignoring each other. I love the flamingoes curly necks :)

I agree with you. Being together does not necessarily mean there is a connection among those that are together. I often see that with some of our students.
